EFYA'S FASHION BLUNDER AT RTP AWARDS

Talented sensational Ghanaian songstress Jane Awindor known in showbiz circles simply as Efya might have satisfied her fans and audience at the just ended second edition of the Globa Radio and Television Personality (RTP) Awards musically, with her splendid performance but the same can be said about her looks especially her make up on the night.

It appears Efya either didn't look into the mirror before stepping out and whoever did her make-up for her did a great disservice to the award winning singer.

Efya who is known for making very strong fashion statements at different events, had it wrong this time around particularly with the kind of make-up she had on.

Legon Fashion Week stages fashion extravaganza tonight

The Legon Fashion Week (LFW) will host its fashion extravaganza tonight at the Mensah Sarbah Hall from 6pm.  The fashion show will be staged for models to showcase the handiworks of the various fashion designers, bead makers and shoe makers who are participating in the fashion week.  Designers and retailers showcasing at the Legon Fashion Week include Konfidence, Juliet Ibrahim’s House of Glamour, Nallem, Wawa Clothing, Leo Marco, Sa4a, Zedi N Cross, Cazabella Jewellery, Kennedy Nana Kofi Ansah and more.

Legon Fashion Week is an annual convocation of experienced and upcoming fashion designers, legends and aspiring models and fashion brands from the textiles, make-up, and hair and clothing industry to inspire new ideas and sell brands.

New ideas from both the young and old have been splashed into the Ghanaian fashion industry recently. This reveals the urgency to create a platform which can bring together these ideas for better synchronization and opportunity to learn for a larger future fashion world. D-Black, Sherifa and Raquel for Miss Ghana Street Fashion Show

Ghanaian hiphop artist D-Black will join singers, Sherifa Gunu and Raquel to thrill the crowd as the finalists of the Miss Ghana beauty contest hit the Osu Oxford Street this Saturday for the Miss Ghana 2012 Street Fashion Show.

The ladies will take to the runway to strut what would be some amazing designs from some of Ghana’s leading fashion houses including Details by Neyomi, Ciba, INKA, Nubian, poqua poqu, Ettien Hans, Anasimba by Zita, Naa Dei Morgan and Ndytsi by Akorfa.

The event, which is the  first of its kind in the history of the pageant in Ghana, is expected to be a spectacular evening full of glitz, glamour and fun. The stunning, intelligent and elegant ladies get a unique opportunity to sell their amazing poses to a large audience some of who will be seeing them for the first time since the beginning of the pageant. Expected to be a great show, the lineup will also include celebrity models that will join the finalists on the runway.

The organizers have also said that there will be lots of souvenirs to be won on the day. The after party will be held at Firefly, also in Osu. The Miss Ghana Street Fashion Show kicks off at 7pm. It is powered by Exclusive Events Ghana, with support from Dockers Cranberry Energy Drink.

Halloween Weekend With the Stars

Come 2nd November, Accra would come to a standstill as all the big names in Ghanaian showbiz will converge at the hub of entertainment, the plush Aphrodisiac Night Club to party for a worthy cause. The event “Halloween Weekend with the Stars” is a Juliet Ibrahim Foundation Initiative headed by ace actress Juliet Ibrahim and supported by Project Smiles headed by C.E.O of Aphrodisiac Confidence.

The event is billed to be an annual event and is set to raise funds to help kidney cancer patients and create awareness on the disease. The night would be filled with highly exciting activities all in the bid to raise funds to support the cause of the foundation. Activities such as “Celebrity Date Auctions, Celebrity Product Auctions” will mark the night and make it more than just another party night.

Rihanna just made her dream come true, twice. The coiffed “Diamonds” singer is having a huge month.  Performing overseas, reuniting with her ex-boyfriend, and now her newest VOGUE cover just dropped.  She’s the November 2012 cover girl, and she’s rocking one of the biggest trends of the season–sexy lace.

This comes after covering American VOGUE last March with her long red locks.  And covering British VOGUE last November as a blonde.

Kardashian Kollection: Koming to Great Britain!

This is really no way to treat our closest allie but Kim Kardashian has announced on her Facebook page that her and her sisters' kollection of klothing - which we're sure they had a ton of input into designing - will go on sale in England next month.
