Heels & Muscles Fashion Show & Music To Hit Accra On October 3rd

On the 3rd of October 2014, Heels and Muscles Fashion Show/ Music brings together both local and
international designers; as well as established, and upcoming new talents to showcase their collections
to buyers, media, fashion influences, and the public.

For this reason to put Accra-Ghana on the Fashion map by showcasing fashion forward talents, empowering designers and attracting international fashion designers and industry people to our city to grow the local fashion scene.

The show would be venued at Aviation Social Centre; gladly putting together top notch production,
great talents of designers, professional models, music and the media.

In the course of bringing together all these great talents, Heels and Muscles Fashion Show/ Music is themed “Walking to the Rhythm”

South African Fashion Retail Shop, Foschini Heads To Ghana

Foschini Group (TFG), a Cape Town-based firm, says it will open five branches in Ghana by next march of part of a bigger plan to increase the number of stores in Africa. The Foschini group currently has 120 stores outside of South Africa.

The Foschini group is known it be the biggest seller of sporting brands such as Adidas and Nike Inc in South Africa.   TFG’s plan is actually to double the number of stores that they currently have in Africa this however will be stretched across four years, the countries concerned will include Mozambique, Kenya and Angola.

Africa has been seen as the fastest growing continent as other markets have been seen to have been saturated as far as sales are concerned.

The South African company operates 17 retailer brands ranging from women’s fashion to jewellery. It is worth noting however that the company already operates in several African countries, including Nigeria, Zambia, Botswana and Namibia.

From the 6th of November to the 9th of November 2014, Glitz Africa Fashion Week will present an ecletic mix of designers from the African continent in the capital of Ghana – Accra. Among the designers confirmed are; Mai Atafo from Nigeria, Taibo Bacar from Mosambique, Ejiro Amos Tafiri, April by Kunbi, Duaba Serwaa and Thula Sindi from South Africa, just to mention a few.

After two fantastic years of unparalleled success at the Accra International Conference Center, this year’s fashion week will be even bigger.

This year, you will still see your favorite elements of Glitz African Fashion Week: a world class production, the hottest up-and-coming designers, a top end fashion exhibition with media and buyers who will feature a fashion park highlighting various industry components.

Photos: Vimbai Sizzles As Host Of The Future Africa Awards Nominees Reception

Host of Africa Magic’s StarGist, Vimbai, today, 31 July 2014, flew into Nigeria from Kenya to host the Nominees’ Reception for The Future Africa Awards & Summit 2014. The event was hosted by the United States Consulate and held at the residence of the Consul-General, Jeffrey Hawkins.

The effervescent hostess, who also anchored the Africa Magic Viewers Choice Awards in March of this year was made up by House of Tara International foundation. She had a Tara flawless foundation with Tara- Dual mineral powder, Tara bronzer in DARK and a mineral blush 27.

Her eyes were done with omoge and dark contour in FRK palette and to finish off she had on her lips, the Osomote lip liner, adooshe and okenne tube gloss.

Guests at the reception included Nigeria’s A-list set Rita Dominic, Toke Makinwa, Bez, Ice Prince, OC Ukeje, Brymo, Uche Nnaji, Gbemileke Oyinsan, Titilayo Oyinsan, Vonne Vixen, Mai Atafo, Noble Igwe, Fela Durotoye, Ivie Okujaye, Funlola Aiofioyebi, Stephanie Coker, amongst others.
