South African Fashion Designer, Ryan Keys International Take-Over

Ryan Keys of Keys Fashion has collaborated with international fashion and lifestyle retail website - BayOne for Africa (www.bay.one)

The designer has created a cocktail collection that will be available to the South African and African market on the UK-based website, BayOne for Africa. Please find the link: https://www.bay.one/brands/keys-fashion

The collection was inspired by Ryan Keys’ fashion week theme - When We Locked Eyes. BayOne for Africa aims to assist the brand to reach new markets across Africa.

The couture designer has dressed a number of well- known celebrities, including Minnie Dlamini and Liesl Laurie. Alongside, his numerous high-profile customer based in South Africa, Ryan has successfully managed to get the attention of the African elite - including the Queen of Swaziland.

The 2016 MTV Africa Music Awards nominations party has kicked off in Johannesburg, where nominees for the awards would me announced ahead of another set of announcements in Lagos on October 2.

Already buzzing from the ongoing party in Johannesburg is South African actress,  Nomzamo Mbatha’s rather risqué dress. 
 
The dress which almost hows her entire boobs has folks talking on social media. 
 
The actress and television personality best known as one of the three finalists in the 2012 MTV Base VJ Search.

She landed her first acting role in the Mzansi Magic telenovela-turned-soap-opera isiBaya, in 2013.

Fashion Entrepreneur Awarded African Women Entrepreneurship Program Fellowship

Siba Adom, a Ghanaian businesswoman and founder the fashion company, Chic by Siba, has been awarded the African Women Entrepreneurship Program fellowship.

The African Women’s Entrepreneurship Program (AWEP) identifies to high potential women entrepreneurs across sub-Saharan Africa.

The three-week fellowship is awarded to small and medium business owners who are transforming their societies through economic development and social advocacy in their communities.

As a recipient of the AWEP fellowship, Ms. Adom is one of 32 African women entrepreneurs that will travel to the United States to attend professional development meetings and network with U.S. policy makers, companies, industry associations, nonprofit groups, and multilateral development organizations.

The three-week program allows the AWEP participants to share best practices, discuss common challenges and learn about the global economy and factors that lead to long-term business growth.
