AMB Fair 2019: Event Date Changed

Africa Makeup & Beauty Fair, the continent’s biggest annual event to showcase and connect the Ghanaian Makeup and Beauty Industry to global consumers and partners, has been rescheduled to Thursday 9th May 2019 – Saturday 11th May 2019.

The venue for AMB Fair 2019, however, remains unchanged and will still be held at Swiss Spirits Hotels and Suites Alisa at Roman Ridge in Accra.

In spite of the change in dates, all planning and execution activities towards holding a successful event are on schedule.

Consumers can still look forward to discovering the best deals and discounts and exhibitors can also look forward to getting their products and brand showcased to the world.

An exciting and new addition to the 2019 edition is a competition for makeup artists and hair stylists dubbed: The Battle of the Brushes and Combs.

101 Clothing Out With “Lexis Man Collections”


Wholly owned Ghanaian fashion brand, 101 Clothing has kick started the year by outdooring a new collection. Named “Lexis Man Collections”, it is a collaborative work with leading Ghanaian media personality and host of Drive Time on Joy FM, Kwame Sakyiamah popularly known as Lexis Bill.

The collection comprises of bespoke kaftan with trimmings, casual shorts and shirts for the modern corporate man.  The designs are ideal for the day to day activities of the working class and also perfect for special events.  

Ludwig H. F Amponsah, the young entrepreneur and Creative Director of the multiple award winning clothing brand stated that the inspiration for the collection came from several observations within the atmosphere around him - listening to music and viewing patterns on vintage designs.

Fashion Icon GlennSamm Named Brand Ambassador For Caveman Watches

Ghanaian model, blogger and socialite Glenn Samm has been named ambassador for CAVEMAN WATCHES.

The announcement was officially made by CEO of Caveman and TimepieceGh, Mr Anthony Dzamefe, who was recently awarded Emerging Youth Innovator at the Ghana Youth Event Awards 2018.

Commenting on the deal, GlennSamm described the partnership as a “great step and “a sign of better things to come.”

“Caveman takes inspiration from the sophisticated originality, durability, and nature’s presence in the works of the prehistoric caveman to remind Ghanaians to be limitless and achievers whiles keeping in touch with our origins. The philosophy of Caveman is consistent with my own brand, hence why I’m especially excited about the partnership,” he added.

Born Glenn Samuel Semakor, GlennSamm is a Keta native, alumnus of IPMC, and head honcho of the KvngsOfTheNewSchool fashion brand.

Modern traditional wear retailer, P&H boutique, have their garments featured in the latest Ariel TVC which is seen on model and TV presenter, Asanda Maku and her daughter Nia.

Traditionally, washing brands have chosen to use plain “white” or “coloured” clothing in their adverts. Ariel Liquids choosing to use print material in their TVC is testament to the rise of modern traditional wear being worn in South Africa.
